The addition of David Godsey and David Minor to our senior management team at Energen Resources is an important step in ensuring that we remain well-positioned to maximize our potential both now and in the future -- in all the basins in which we operate, said James McManus, Energens chairman and chief executive officer. No basin is more important to us right now than the Permian Basin, where we are spending significant capital to develop and explore multiple plays. And we are pleased that Paul Sparks will now be able to devote his full attention to the planning and execution of our resource drilling, completion, and testing programs.
Since 2003 Godsey has worked at Chesapeake Energy and has served as Geoscience Manager Permian Basin there since 2009.
