Donate to a Worthy Cause With the Click of a Button - CafePress Launches Make-A-Wish(R) "Press it" Feature for Holiday Giving Drive
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Dec. 5, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Since 1980, Make-A-Wish ® has been instrumental in bringing joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions, and this year giving has never been so easy! CafePress (PRSS) Inc. (Nasdaq:PRSS), The World's Customization EngineTM, has teamed up with Make-A-Wish to develop a revolutionary new giving program that donates money based on social sharing. Every time a product is shared through CafePress' Make-A-Wish Press It program, CafePress will donate 10 cents to Make-A-Wish with a minimum $30,000, maximum $100,000 donation.
Beginning December 1, 2012 and running through December 25, 2012, CafePress will host a fundraising program through its PressBoards" social sharing platform aimed at raising up to $100,000 for Make-A-Wish. The PressBoards platform allows CafePress enthusiasts, including CafePress' member base of more than 17 million, to express a wide range of opinions about their favorite CafePress products to their friends and family. For the program, CafePress will add a Make-A-Wish button to over 300 million unique products that will enable consumers to help CafePress and Make-A-Wish raise money needed to help make wishes come true.
For every product where users press the Make-A-Wish button, CafePress will donate 10 cents to Make-A-Wish. These products will also be featured on the PressBoards platform, where other CafePress community members can participate. CafePress has made it easy for anyone to participate in the program. It takes just three simple steps:
- Find a product on www.cafepress.com that speaks to you;
- Hit the "Make-A-Wish" button; and
- Opt in to the PressBoards Facebook app to post your support of the Make-A-Wish fundraiser.

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can have positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illnesses, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. Based in Phoenix, Make-A-Wish is one of the world's leading children's charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and more than 25,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes. It has granted over 226,000 wishes since its inception in 1980; nearly 14,000 in 2012 alone. Visit Make-A-Wish at wish.org to learn more.
