Westfield Financial, Inc. (the Company) (NasdaqGS:WFD), the holding company for Westfield Bank (the Bank), announced today that its Board of Directors has authorized a stock repurchase program (Repurchase Program) under which the Company may repurchase up to 2,427,000 shares, or 10% of its outstanding common stock. The Company completed its previous stock repurchase program of 1,278,560 shares of its common stock on November 5, 2012.
