RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Liquidmetal® Technologies, Inc. (LTI) (OTCQB: LQMT), the leading developer of amorphous alloys and composites, has been invited to present at the TMS 2013 Annual Meeting & Exhibition Conference being held on March 3-7, 2013 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Cener in San Antonio, Texas.
Joseph Stevick, Ph.D., Liquidmetal Technologies senior physicist, is scheduled to present on Tuesday, March 5 at 4:30 p.m. Central time. Dr. Stevick will share his abstract titled, Influence of Chemical Composition on Mechanical Properties and Glass Forming Ability of LM1b Alloy. The abstract focuses on the effects of oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen content on the mechanical performance and glass forming ability of industrially produced Liquidmetal (LQMT.OB) alloy. Dr. Stevick will also discuss the sensitivity of the alloy to changes in the primary composition and its influence on ease of industrial processing.
Since joining Liquidmetal Technologies in 2010, Dr. Stevick has played an instrumental role in advancing Liquidmetal alloy into commercial production. Among his many contributions, Dr. Stevick was a key developer of the third-generation Liquidmetal Engel injection molding machines as well as the inventor on 20 of Liquidmetal Technologies 50+ patent applications.
