An NYT piece on Google's (GOOG) Larry Page depicts a CEO determined to speed up decision-making, and focus the search giant's resources on fewer products. Nicholas Carlson thinks these moves are evidence Page wants to be the next Steve Jobs, though one employee cautions Page's actions will lead to defections at Google, whose culture has historically been very different from Apple's (AAPL).
