All Things Digital did a quick flyby of the Apple (AAPL -0.3%) support forums to find that although the company released iOS 5.0.1 - the iPhone 4S battery issue is as bad or worse than ever for some users. Apple is hoping for a quick-fix to avoid the nuisance of a class action lawsuit similar to the one a number of iPhone 3G users filed last year.

I downloaded the fix last night to my 32gb 3GS and it seem to run faster.

No problems with the battery though.

Just upgraded to 5.0.1 and my battery life is absolutely horrible. I shouldn't have even upgraded because my phone was not having the battery issue. But it is now. Iphone 4s 32gb. Extremely irritated.

Battery life greatly improves if you turn off location services you don't need or never use.

No issues with 5.0.1. Class action lawsuit? There is not even potential for that.
