FHFA acting head Edward DeMarco's ill-timed defense of the $12.8M bonuses paid to execs of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is falling flat (as expected). The you-have-to-pay-for-ta... reasoning behind the government's outlay is getting blasted by politicians on both sides of the aisle. Rep. Patrick McHenry's take: "Fannie and Freddie executives are being paid millions to manage losses. By these same standards, I should be the starting forward for the Lakers. It’s completely absurd."
