Responding to the Obama administration's decision to delay action on approving TransCanda's (TRP) Keystone oil pipeline until after the 2012 election, Canadian PM Harper reiterates the need for his country to focus on getting product to Asia. "That will be an important priority of our government going forward and I indicated that yesterday to the president of China." (the saga)

This decision is understandable as we are in the Jackassian Period of US history. We have had the Jeffersonian Period, Jacksonian Period and now we have Obama. Explains the whole strategy... no governing just four years of campaigning.

The Chinese are laughing in our faces, that we are this short sighted on our energy policies. This moron in chief is hurting the US in every way possible.

Obama has shown a willingness to defend the oil supply lines through the Persian Gulf but kills a mid American pipeline from Canada. Is he taking orders from the Saudis now?

It took 10 years in NYC to get a building up at ground zero, watch what the Canadians do in 18 months with a pipeline to the west. How can the US not look asleep at the energy wheel???? As a owner of SU, I hope they sign long term supply contracts with the Chinese govt. and sell every drop of oil they can produce. Hats off to the Canadian govt, they seem to be concerned about keeping their citizens employed.

This is also a strategic defense issue and an error in judgement as we need supplies close to us and now apparently Canadian oil is taken for granted.

    Stupid eh?

Even the unions are supportive of this deal which tells you that this President is blinded by an ideology that wants to see the US become a third world country and will do whatever it takes to achieve that vision.

He is saying no to high paying blue collar jobs without government subsidies all based upon junk science and appeasing the no toilet paper, whacko environmentalists.

The real question is: How is Romney Different than Obama?

    Both are pretty.
    Both don't make "mistakes."
    Both like Universal healthcare.
    Both are "greens".
    Both are weak on boarders.

Perhaps a time for some real soul searching for those opposing POTUS.

China has already purchased a large sea port on Canada's West Coast, and have invested Billions of $ in the Oil Sands Projects.
Is this the beginning of the end of the USA being the largest consumer of Canadian products?

Didn't they buy a large stake in SUN already? China is obviously everywhere world wide where oil is to be found trying to secure as much as possible.
