A month after introducing its desktop Bulldozer CPUs, AMD is announcing general availability of the server versions, code-named Interlagos and Valencia. AMD is hoping the chips, already adopted (I, II) by Dell (DELL) and Cray (CRAY), will reverse its declining fortunes in the server CPU market; IDC estimates AMD had only 4.9% of the market for x86 server/workstation CPUs in Q3, compared to Intel's 95.1%.
