Activision's (NASDAQ:ATVI) Modern Warfare 3 and Electronic Arts' (ERTS) Battlefield 3 are squaring off this holiday season, and though EA reported strong first-week sales for its franchise, it appears Activision has an early lead. Gaming network Raptr estimates Modern Warfare 3 players logged 17% more play time on the Xbox 360 during its first week, than Battlefield 3 users logged during its first week. (yesterday)
