spot on .. lets figure out where Mr Icahn is going to get money from - no point having a due diligence done and go thru public scrutiny without knowing the strong foundation?

Nice letter from Icahn with lots of bluster but no content. Parse through and it's clear that the group knows little about the business, and it certainly looks like it isn't spending the time nor effort on a credible plan that could deliver on the qualitative arguments near- or long-term. Picking a fight to make a couple of more dollars - which in the Icahn world is merely a stocking stuffer. That's not capitalism - it's greenmail. Lots of other companies need your brand of "help" out there - go get 'em!

Southeastern -- Really? The strategy for recouping some losses on your Dell investment is this letter? Great research / points of view on potential value, but not based on practical experience.

Remember where the stock price was before the Silver Lake offer? You guys best hope the Silver Lake doesn't go away....
