3D Systems (DDD -3.2%) says it will acquire Z Corp, a maker of 3D printers and scanners, and Vidar, a maker of medical film scanners, for a combined $137M in cash, which it will obtain by issuing $152M in 5.5% convertible notes. Z Corp and Vidar generated a combined $58M in revenue in the 12 months ending June 30. 3D Systems shares are currently halted.
