Bill Gates testifies in a $1B antitrust lawsuit filed against Microsoft (MSFT -1.1%) in by Novell that may challenge his ability to recall details from his days at the helm when he helped beat back challengers to Office's suite of consumer software. The basis of the lawsuit dates back to actions by Gates and his firm from over 15 years ago that Novell alleges destroyed the market share of its long-ago popular WordPerfect software. Early signs from the courtroom tip toward a possible successful dismissal of the lawsuit by MSFT.
