Sprint (NYSE:S), which has just finished up bailing out (I, II) Clearwire (CLWR), says it plans to offer its first 4G LTE devices in 2H 2012. Sprint has thus far relied on WiMAX technology rather than LTE to offer 4G services, and that's put the carrier at a disadvantage with regards to the quality of its 4G phone lineup. Verizon Wireless (VZ, VOD) currently offers 16 LTE devices, with the Galaxy Nexus arriving shortly.
