Cablevision (CVC -1.2%) has filed a lawsuit in Federal Court accusing Verizon (VZ -1%) of embarking on an advertising campaign which makes intentionally false and misleading claims related to Cablevision's high-speed Internet service. Despite being fully aware of the false claims, Verizon has refused to stop running its ads, and the company says it's been forced to take legal action to halt them.

I hate to break it to you Cablevision... the claims are true! I get 7 MBPS on average at noon and 1.12 MBPS average starting around 6pm and lasting until way after 10pm with speeds as low as .56 MBPS. Good luck in court!
