Amazon (AMZN) workers at its logistic center in Leipzig in Germany were due to go on strike today in a dispute over pay and benefits. The action follows strikes at the online retailer's facilities in Bad Hersfeld earlier this month, as well as in Leipzig. The workers' union wants Amazon to implement a collective agreement similar to contracts at other mail order and retail companies.

Another sign of a deteriorating image. The press has not report on these important events. In Europe the brand is having problems that eventually spill in the US

Amzn is notoriously cheap in terms of benefits and pay. Most customer don't care what happens to the workers as long as they get cheap stuff. Of course the senior execs up top make billions on stock :)
