Average U.K. home values rise 0.4% in May, the biggest increase since the eve of the financial crisis, fueled by a 0.9% jump in London prices. It appears George Osborne's Help to Buy program, which the IMF somewhat prophetically says may ultimately "work against the aim of boosting access to housing" by prohibitively raising prices if there isn't a proportionate supply response, may be bolstering demand.
