It's not just brick-and-mortar retailers who are unhappy about Amazon (AMZN) luring away shoppers with its new Price Check app. Sen. Olympia Snowe asks AMZN to drop its promotion because it gives consumers an incentive to gather price data from small retailers and leave stores without spending money - "an attack on Main Street businesses that employ workers in our communities."

  • Which proves Olympia Snowe is about as Republican as Karl Marx and R.I.N.O. ex officio. Why SHOULDN'T consumers gather price data and walk the walk if they can get a better price elsewhere? Can you believe we ELECT these people?

  • If you live in Phoenix where Amazon has multiple distribution centers then you work with a business "that employs workers in our communities." O. Snowe is a liability to common sense.

  • The invisible hand of the free market is knocking
Olympia Snow's constituents around! I guess
it's OK for the bankers to slap folks around since
they contribute to her campaign. We have the best
Congress money can buy! No wonder our political leaders
have the lowest approval level of any other group!
