2:30 is the new 7:30 as European events becoming the driver of financial assets across the planet force traders to monitor their screens throughout the pre-dawn hours. "We have a new credo: carpe noctem - seize the night," says Doug Kass. "Who would have thought we would have to be looking at Italian sovereign debt yields to figure out what Morgan Stanley's stock will do," says Mike Mayo. Market Currents is on the job then too; do check out our coverage.

who'd of thought we would care? we now know we can live without Wall Street--that's why we love what's going on of course. The entire place is a fraud built on lies and supported by financial "ether." The fact that Europe is going to blow up and it won't matter one bit to our economy is really quite extraordinary. now that we know the media capital of the world is behind the wheel of a tractor trailer as well....

You are kidding, right? Have you ever been there?
We do export a few things to the people across the pond and if they go south we will feel it big time.

We use to laugh at europe with their gay soirees, funny hats, gelato and street mimes. I mean, why does a cheese wheel have to be 25 lbs. and why do you need those tiny little knives to smear it on your cracker?

Now all these things just give us nightmares.

It's due to Conservatives supporting Newt Gingrich.

This tore the fabric of space and time.

If the wall street guys do it, it becomes self fulfilling prophecy. I will nicely sleep and laugh at them. I trade the last hour.

This is what hypothecation and rehypothecation of co-mingled assets and accounts in international casino markets does to "investors".

That would be between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. There is no market open during that hour; even the futures market is typically quiet between 4:15 p.m. and 6 p.m. EST.

Thank God for the Pacific ocean.

This it is what happens when you let people without ethics run the world. This is just a casino in which the big guys enjoy their meat and they throw some leftovers. HFT runs the place, there is a very small group in Conneticut that produces 20% of the volume in any given day.

The odds are in stacked in favor of the house. The retail investor, those hard working americans with their 401K, with their stagnant wages and inflation pressures are being fleeced every day by Wall Street and the Government.

If you have the guts to play in the casino, do Not buy and hold, just trade. If you need to hold something, buy real assets, like farm land, cheap property, precious metals.

I dream of a day in which people stop being fleeced by those so called "master of the universe".

Day trading has been very difficult for a year now. We can't trade on fundamentals because of the greed trade artificially pushing stocks up. If you go with the greed trade chances of a Euro-Trash headline coming out can whipsaw you. Plus Cesar wants to get reelected so chances of Uncl Ben pumping are good. Jan 12 shoud see a big sell off. I hope so at least.
