UniPixel (UNXL -17%) tanks again after SA contributor Seth Shaw posts pictures of UniBoss touch sensor film that he considers indicative of poor quality. Seth: "The product does not work. The lines are too visible. No consumer electronics company would approve this..." He also shows a picture of a UniBoss demo unit with broken lines, and says talks with engineers and ex-employees revealed doubts about UniPixel's ability to mass-produce UniBoss. An industry consultant and engineers at Synaptics, Texas Instruments, and private Touch International all reportedly made technical complaints; they often related to visible lines.

SA will be also responsible if the statement reported in the article will be proved to be false.SA cannot publish every article that impact on the stock price of a quoted company without any control and any clearly statement that opinion of contributor are of contributor and not as seems also of SA.
This article declare that unipixel and its management is a completely fraud. Then if this is not true (see recent secondary offert at 32 $)You can also be call to pay for damage

Seth admits to espionage and theft in the article... Not only do we have a clear SEC violation but some broken laws.

Maybe it's true or maybe it's not but the fact that Seeking Alpha would publish this article sure puts a shady stamp on this site.

Agreed. My view of SA is indefinitely tarnished.

From Barron's today : One observer with whom I spoke today, who has followed the company and its stock for some time, but who declined to be identified by name, tells me that Shaw is in error because the sample itself is broken.

“The company had told people that there would be lines because it’s [the sample] a year and a half old now, and it’s broken.” Adds the source I spoke with, Uni-Pixel is expected to have a new demo unit at an industry conference next week, “and they will work just fine,” the source contends.

This is the kind of trading ideas that Sa publish: a broken display used to misleading investor and open door to shortsellers, many naked.
