OmniVision's (OVTI +21.2%) post-earnings rally/short-squeeze continues, as investors on edge over Apple welcome an FQ4 beat and strong FQ1 guidance. On the earnings call, OmniVision mentioned orders from Chinese OEMs, whose sales are growing rapidly at home and overseas, is offsetting weakness elsewhere, and that product mix changes are lifting margins (Apple is known for driving a hard bargain). However, management also cautioned it doesn't expect as big of a late-year demand increase as it saw last year. The automotive market is touted as a growth driver, as is OmniVision's CameraCubeChip sensor/lens module for low-end phones. Skyworks (SWKS +2.3%), which shares many customers with OmniVision, could be up in sympathy.
