Satellite operator DirecTV (DTV) and two other unidentified suitors have reportedly bid over $1B each to acquire Hulu. The owners of the online video service, which are News Corp (NWS), Disney (DIS) and Comcast (CMCSA), have received seven offers for the company, and intend to cut the shortlist down over the next few weeks. Previous reports have said that other bidders include Yahoo (YHOO), KKR (KKR) and Time Warner Cable (TWC).

Yahoo's CEO is acting like a child who has no concept of the value of money.
At what point does the Board stop her? Before or after she spends all of Yahoo's cash and leaves for another job?

If a fraction of what she has spent on acquisitions were spent on making Yahoo a better site, she would be worth every penny they pay her.

Homepage change was the big idea and many users were furious over this. What has she done to improve Yahoo?

So the new CEO comes in and wants to do a bunch of acquisitions? Like with Mark Hurd at HPQ, that's a red flag.

Hulu would be a good diversified acquisition for Yahoo if they intend on growing it (offerings/content and subscribers) as a contender with Netflix. The other bidders (DirectTV and TWC, and perhaps Dish) would have to fit the model into their existing business models, and still grow both.

Any ideas why DIS has tanked from 67 to 63 in last couple weeks? I can't find any research to suggest why. Would also be great for them to get out of Hulu and pawn it off on someone like Yahoo/Meyer.
