Intel (INTCgains 1.3% premarket after getting the Barron's treatment in a good way over the weekend. FBR Capital chimes in, upgrading to Buy.

    even discounting future growth, given the current dividend i think a $40 price target for INTC is reasonable.

    This is precursor prior Intel launch its new CPU in Computex 2013 this week in Taipei. Very much emotional or event-driven price movement than its fundamental suggests, which in my view would be very very short-live rebound only.

    And I believe we will discover that this rebound is just the beginning of a long-term improvement in the multiples for Intel and that that improvement is founded on the realization that Intel has forged a long term technology advantage that will cement a leadership position in mobile computers.

     

    We will see shortly who is correct.
