Dell (DELL) appears to be abandoning the netbook market; the company's U.S. office has confirmed to The Register that Dell's Mini netbook line is being discontinued. Netbooks, which primarily run on Intel (INTC) Atom chips, were a low-margin business even during their short-lived boom, and sales have been decimated by the tablet market's growth. (previously)
