Ok great. Now how are we going to fund this thing? The extension of the 99 weeks of unempoyment has really screwed things up. I can't hire a laborer for my life. They're all on Obama's payroll and want cash on the side to work!

I have co-workers that say they'll quit and take an "Obama Vacation". I tell them "Fine. But you do realize it pays shit".

Last time I was on unemployment (seasonal work while obtaining my bachelors degree - another travesty in this country), it paid a max of $330/wk based on what you had earned through working the previous 3 quarters.
I don't know what it is now.
But that's pretty low. Wouldn't deter anyone around here from going to work. The average rural heating bill in the winter in Northern Michigan would eat up $300 by itself.

What we need is to abolish the practice of "Working Poor".
A mom and dad working full time at the minimum wage shouldn't still place them below the poverty line.

This is completely false. I lived in rural michigan most of my life. Most of the houses are heated with nat gas which is dirt cheap.

This is the slightest of America's problems.

If NDAA, SOPA & PIPA are allowed to pass, America will become no better than China or Iran.

America, once the land of the free... is turning into a fascist state... and the worst is: that change is being supported by the first black president of the USA... What a disappointment.

Wow...they can pass this bill, but they can't pass a BUDGET? This is absurd. Throw all the bums out, and let's start fresh.

The republican bill in the senate proposes paying for the payroll tax cut by increasing guarantee fees for new mortgages secured through fannie mae and freddie mac! They actually think raising the bar to securing mortgages is a good idea?

I don't see a problem if the Dept. of Defense, EPA, and Labor Dept. shut down for a week or even a month. It's the holidays, government employees don't want to work anyways.

If the Federal Govt. pinched pennies more often maybe they wouldn't need to pass these extra pieces of legislature to keep operating...

Afghanistan....the paid for poppy protection police. Keep the drugs humming. Couldn't just burn the crops and pay the Afghan's $5 billion a year to learn a new farming trade - say hydroponics....?

OMG, another $ trillion spent and NO ONE GIVES A SHIT!!

Does Obama ante up a 15% pay cut for all federal employees to save money?
Does Obama ante up a suspension of the federal taxes on gasoline to help us out?
Does Obama ante up a 20% cut in foreign aid to offset spending?

The entire system is totally screwed up and NO ONE has any desire to quit spending our money in Washington.

Ladies and Gentleman it is time to take matters into our own hands and QUIT PAYING TAXES. Our cash junkie politicians won't quit spending so we need to quit sending them money!!!!

This is the solution to our problem.

Its 915B for 9 months only! 100B per month, WTF is going on? If the Iraq war is over, shouldn't we be saving a Bil per month...this is nonsense!
