The White House has finalized new rules for the curbing of toxin emissions from coal-fired power plants; the EPA estimates the rules will cost utilities, who will have to install scrubbers in order to be compliant, $10.6B by 2016. Some utilities, such as SO and AEP, are protesting they'll have to shut down plants in order to install new equipment.

  • If he makes our energy cost go higher it helps his call for green energy that cost 3 to 4 times more. Poor people will suffer more because of this increase in utility cost.
