Futures are off their lows lol. The Federal Government is slowing the economy with constrictive fiscal policy all year, of course the Fed is going to have to keep the punch bowl out. Talk of Fed tightening completely ignores most data points, that say the US is still growing around 2%, not enough to let it stand on its own, unless we want to become Japan

Yeap reits, bonds, oil, gold, equities, all asset classes just a preview of markets reaction if they pull it. Bottom line is it hasn't worked as market particianpts well know. odds of increased QE are much greater than tapering gone this far whats a few trillion more at this point

OMG! Someone stepped out of their bubble and into the real world!

Sarah Bloom Raskin, a Fed governor, said Tuesday that she was prompted to study the kinds of jobs people are getting to replace jobs lost during the recession after she interrupted her daily commute to the Fed from her suburban Washington home one day to visit a job fair. It was full of opportunities for lifeguards and restaurant workers, but offered little in the way of stable, middle-class jobs.

    I can say two things:
    - Don't be so negative but just wait for the guy called bbro to come and put a positive spin on that.
    - Better listen to GS - ''Don't worry and just buy ... you muppets.''

It is funny to hear the market talking about the recovery when sad data like this appears regularly and then they talk about how sweet the housing market is.

I must let you in on a real estate secret. There is always a nice pop up in the housing market before it collapses. The reason is simple. Usually rising loan rates get people to buy or refinance due to real estate brokers scare tactics that you need to buy or lock in rates because rates are rising. After this panic sales subsides then you just have higher rates and the incentive to buy because of higher rates just aren't there. Then kerplop... you have a housing downturn or outright crash.

Don't listen to brokers. Their interests are always opposite of yours, just like most banks, investment houses, and investment banks.
