Ever on the alert to defend its film and music sectors from being swamped by Hollywood, the French have threatened to torpedo EU trade talks with the U.S. unless measures to protect France's cultural industries are left intact. The U.S. wants all issues to be on the table, with the U.K. taking a similar position. The dispute comes as trade tensions increase between the EU and China.
