As rumored, France Telecom (FTE) agrees to sell mobile-phone unit Orange Switzerland to P-E firm Apax Partners, though the sale price of €1.6B ($2.1B) is somewhat lower than had been expected. Swiss officials needs to sign off on the deal.

    This stock will probably drop some Monday since they sold for less than expected. With a 10% dividend, even taking out foreign tax, it is a buy.

    I am curious as to emerging market growth for FTE, especially in Africa.

     

    Still just curious though. I haven't owned FTE in 4 years.
