The Brussels-approved Greek government of Lucas Papademos has failed to move ahead with promised actions after securing its €8B bailout check. The top priority - a bond swap with the country's private creditors to be hammered out before year's end - looks dead in the water. The privatization program, labor market reform, public sector layoffs, pension plan cuts ... all stalled at the moment.

When will they learn? Greece has no integrity. They party, dance and talk about how great ancient Greece "was". Greece is for Greeks. The world needs to leave them alone so they can either learn from their mistakes or disappear from the world scene.

I am not at all surprised. It's like an alcoholic who promises to stop drinking if you give them just one more drink.

This is what gets me about markets…they cheer new loans (debt) or successful bond auctions (more debt)…yet don't react when bad economic data comes out and/or it is obvious the govts are incapable of implementing the plans as originally agreed to. We are right back to the same point previously.

yes I see the only option now for the politicians to do is to print....they had a chance to cut expenses...not anymore...they will just print..give it to the banks..the banks buy the trash bonds....rinse and inflation is the next leg I think...
