There are now 900K apps in the App Store, of which 375K are for the iPad, says Tim Cook (AAPL +1.2%) as the WWDC conference gets underway. Apple hit 800K total apps in March, and 300K iPad apps a little before that. Cook adds Apple has paid out $5B to developers over the last year (implies App Store revenue of $7.5B), and $10B cumulatively. Shares have been trekking higher ahead of the event.
