Shares of Sirius XM Radio (SIRI, LMCA) turn lower, now down 2.3%, as more details on the iTunes radio are unveiled. The Apple service will be integrated into some new cars which could cut into subscriptions totals for Sirius.

Well, I don't see any details on the provided link, but my guess is that the "integrated into new cars" bit is still going to require that people hook up their iPhones (and eventually other smart phones) into their dashboard for the cell phone signal. Which means it's just a competitor to Pandora. While Apple doesn't have to worry about its business model because it doesn't have all its eggs in one basket, I still don't see it as a Sirius killer. Sirius still is cheaper (don't need to pay for a data plan), has the more reliable signal, and (for now) has the content.

For someone who already has iTunes, what are the advantages to having iTunes on a car radio?

That's right. Most people can just plug in their iPods and get the same thing

Content is everything and no body even comes close to SIRI. Everybody whose anybody wants to either have their own show or stop by one of the live studios for a chat. SIRI can not be beat.

Overreaction of the markets as they do not understand this realm. Not sure how many subscribers SIRI will lose because the AAPL product requires an internet subscription which will be a monthly charge. With iTunes radio being streamed via the internet, the satellite reception is far superior than the internet reception with iTunes radio. Appears to be more competition for P than SIRI.
