Herbalife (HLF) releases the results of a Nielsen study showing 3.3% of the U.S. population purchased company products within the past 3 months, indicating 7.9M costumers. This is against a distributor network of just about 550K. "(This) confirms what we at Herbalife already know to be true: that Herbalife's products have a broad consumer base here in the U.S." After an AH pop last night, shares are off 1.25% premarket.

They sell the stuff at my gym. The protein shakes aren't the best tasting (and they shouldn't be); also, the guy running the protein shake bar includes other health drinks with the purchase of a protein shake, which is different experience.

I am a successful HLF distributor. As you may know HLF doesn't advertise on TV, radio, magazines, etc - this way HLF can invest more into product research and increase product quality, as compared with competitors of traditional brick and mortar companies.
