Britain plans to regulate electronic cigarettes as a non-prescription medicine beginning in 2016 in a move that will increase the focus on the safety of the products. While tobacco companies have been hailing e-cigarettes as an explosive revenue channel, some countries such as Brazil, Norway, and Singapore have been putting out the stubs on the burgeoning industry.
