Usage of Internet Explorer 6 is almost officially dead with market share in the U.S. now standing below 1%, and no one seems happier about it than the folks at Microsoft (MSFT +1.1%). On a corporate blog an exec writes, "IE6 has been the punch line of browser jokes for a while, and we’ve been as eager as anyone to see it go away."
