Backing up company-specific data about soaring mobile app usage is a report from Flurry claiming U.S. smartphone users spend an average of 94 minutes/day using mobile apps, easily eclipsing the 72 minutes/day spent on web browsing (either desktop or mobile). Moreover, in a troubling piece of data for companies with relatively weak mobile positions, such as YHOO and AOL, browsing time declined slightly from June.
