Citi's Glen Yeung is encouraged by Intel's (INTC) recent deals (I, II) with Motorola and Lenovo for its latest Atom chips, code-named Medfield, given they provide Intel with some much-needed momentum in the smartphone/tablet space. Yeung was impressed the performance of a prototype phone relying on Medfield, which faces tough competition from a slew of ARM-based (ARMH) processor lines. (previously)
