Total (TOT), Statoil (STO) and Denmark’s Maersk are reportedly expected to bid in the first round of the auction for Anadarko's (APC) Brazilian ops, which are valued at $3B-$4B. Winning the auction would increase the exposure to the region of any of the three bidders.

STO.....the best operator imo, wondering if APC heads to the Bakken, Long STO, WES,......APC's little brother.

Getting shot of Brazil is extremely positive for Anadarko, abysmally negative for Maersk if they "win" the auction.

Leaving Brazil is obviously the best move for Anadarko. You can't make a move there without a payoff.
