Coal stocks (KOL +0.7%) enjoy a bit of a short-covering rally as Pres. Obama's climate change speech displays a similar stance toward the industry as has been heard in prior speeches, but gains don't make up for yesterday's big losses. WLT +7.1%, ACI +4%, PVR +2.8%, YZC +1.8%, PVG +2.4%, PVA +1.9%, RNO +1.6%, ANR +1.4%, AHGP +1.4%, ARLP +1.4%, BTU +1.2%.

Obama's energy policy by default is "Arab Oil" since he is so strongly opposed to US production. He'd rather fund terrorists. Pathetic.

I've owned AHGP and ARLP for ages - (arlp in and out) but over ten years at least. Done much research on energy (government sites) to dig deep... the most Co2 emissions come from cars it turns out.

I do not support mountain top removal or other environmental pollution/disasters from any process but realize that's the life we live in now...

Less is best - so it's worth the clean up... the technology is there and this company (sister companies) are the best of breed, mho and already have done much work for "cleaner" coal.

Blaming it all on coal!!! Gas may be "cleaner" but just as toxic in it's own manner, and fracking not so healthy either.

All you have to do is research on who owns the "media" Start with Dow Jones publications (not easy to do have to dig)....

A few at the top (fewer now) own almost all media.
