Gold isn't the only precious metal to experience big losses lately, with silver (NYSEARCA:SLV) losing a third of its value this quarter, while it is the worst performer in 2013 on the Standard & Poor GSCI Spot Index of raw materials. Spot silver is now -4.1% at $18.86 an ounce. Platinum is -2.08% at $1,321 while palladium is -1.2% at $657 an ounce.
