Asian shares are mixed as the PBOC's attempts to soothe market fears about tight liquidity and credit crunches in China's banking system are enough to keep markets relatively tame but not to boost bourses across the board. Japan -1% to 12834, Hong Kong +2.4% to 20335, China -0.4% to 1952, India +0.2% to 18666.
