The Star-Ledger has threatened to shut down operations before the end of the year if it doesn't win major concession from unions. The New Jersey paper - which is under the same ownership group as Conde Nast - could serve as a test case for the newspaper industry (GCI, MNI, LEE, MEG, AHC, NYT, MNI, SSP, WPO) in its battle to lower labor costs.

    FYI MEG no longer has any newspapers...they are strictly broadcast and digital media now.
