IBM (IBM +4.2%) is rallying post-earnings, as its EPS beat and solid guidance calm investors made nervous by the soft results (I, II) posted by services giants ACN and INFY. Though services revenue growth fell to 3% Y/Y, restructuring efforts contributed to a 17% increase in operating profit. Goldman (Buy) expects services and software profit growth to offset server/mainframe weakness in 2012. (transcript)

    Restructuring = Continuing to move jobs overseas. In fact, now moving them from Brazil to Costa Rica due to increased labor costs. CEO has done a great job of acquiring high margin software products and reducing labor costs (restructuring). Cant blame him.
