Together with SAP's strong Q4, Nomura's Rick Sherlund sees the healthy software sales noted in IBM's (IBM +4.4%) Q4 report as evidence business software spending "has not slowed materially," even if IBM admitted it was seeing the sales cycle lengthening others have witnessed. The 14% Y/Y growth reported for IBM's Tivoli systems management software could bode well for CA and BMC. (transcript)
