Disagreements over price have led Telecom Italia's (TI -2.6%) mobile M&A talks with Hutchison Whampoa to stall, 4 sources tell Bloomberg; Reuters had reported of postponed talks and a lack of deal momentum a month ago. Two of Bloomberg's sources add TI's board will likely decide to end the talks this week to focus on the telco's wireline spinoff. That could please major TI shareholder Telefonica (TEF), which reportedly has been wary of a merger, partly given the deal's price would imply a lower valuation for Telefonica's stake.
