MLPs have held up better than other yield-producing investments recently, as they're less rate-sensitive than other big dividend producers. But MLP investors should worry about debt, Ned Davis Research says, finding the MLPs with the least leverage easily have outperformed those with the most. Investors can avoid much of the risk by being choosy and sticking to infrastructure MLPs over non-infrastructure.
