HTC, reeling from its Q4 share losses, says it will introduce a smaller number of higher-quality devices in 2012. John Paczowski notes HTC's Mobile Phone Finder lists 51 devices, far too many to maintain strong quality control. Qualcomm (QCOM), which is a major chip supplier to HTC, and is believed to collect a relatively high royalty from the company, is likely hoping HTC's efforts bear fruit.
