Barron's "Sizing Up Small Caps" column has had a hot hand - its picks are up 24.6% over the last year vs. 12.3% for the benchmark (IWM). Grabbing David Englander's eye are companies that hit difficult times but are now undergoing a strategic change. Three selections are up plenty, but still may be in the early innings of their turnaround: Chiquita Brands (CQB), Ruby Tuesday (RT), and Wendy's (WEN).

    Well, I believe Ruby Tuesday and Wendy's are great buys. They are doing all the right things. I'm not sure about short term (they're spending some money on needed renovations, etc), but longer term, two years out, both stocks will do exceptionally well!!!
