Indonesian shares (EIDO, IDX) fall 3.68% in Jakarta, as traders wonder if the central bank (which holds a policy meeting this week) has become too hawkish in the face of rising prices. Elsewhere in the region, Thai shares (THD) tumble 2.55% ahead of a Bank of Thailand monetary policy committee meeting Wednesday, Philippine equities (EPHE) fall 2.79%, and the Straits Times (EWS, EWSS) and KLCI (EWM) are off fractionally.
