The European Parliament approves a ban on some tobacco products and sharp restrictions on others in fresh legislation. Flavored cigarettes are a particular focus of the sweeping new rules. Tobacco companies (MO, PM, LO, RAI, BTI, ITYBY.PK, BTI) have had plenty of warnings that crackdowns in Europe and the U.S. were coming for traditional cigarette products, but the increase of scrutiny on electronic cigarettes has been a surprise.
